授课摘要
The ForwArd Search ExpeRiment (FASER), is a recently installed detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) that can detect light, long lived particles. The talk will introduce the latest status of FASER, as well as other latest study results about the photon and dark photon models. About the FASER, we study the prospect of detecting light CP-even and CP-odd scalars at the FASER. We develop the general formalism for the scalar production and decay from mesons at LHC, given modified couplings of the scalars to the SM particles, as well as summarizing the relevant GeV-scale experiment constraints. We then analyze the reaches of light scalars in the large $\tan\beta$ region of the Type-I 2HDM, in which a light scalar with relatively long lifetime could be accommodated.
In a summary, I will introduce the latest theoretical and experimental studies about the photon and dark photon study in the field of theoretical physics, and extend to the future collider physics.
个人简介
苏伟博士,目前任职中山大学理学院副教授。博士毕业于中国科学院理论物理研究所,先后在美国、澳洲、韩国等地访问学习和博士后研究工作。 主要研究方向为理论物理中粒子物理方向,目前已完成学术论文30余篇,累计引用700余次。
在粒子物理中,研究课题包含标准模型Higgs 玻色子性质研究,超出标准模型重Higgs 寻找和探测,对撞机物理,暗物质粒子性质、长寿命粒子探测等等。在粒子宇宙学方向,关注引力波探测,宇宙重子数不对称以及早期宇宙演化等前沿交叉方向。
